So we went back to the cardiologist last week and not much has changed. She still has a hole in her heart, and it still looks like she is trying to close it on her own. She is growing and gaining weight, she weights 9 pounds 2 ounces now! Piggy :) but the only concern Dr. English has is that the left side of her heart is becoming larger due to all the extra blood flow. If it continues to get bigger, which would be a slow process, and she is not closing her heart fast enough, we may have to consider the surgery. So not terrible news, but we aren't out of the woods yet.

Omg are these people rude! I got our first call today. It's not that we aren't paying our bills, we just held off to speak with social security to see if we would qualify for some help. Matt makes commission and I guess his last check was a little larger than normal so we don't qualify by only $200. The only problem is Matt's checks normally aren't that high so it's a flawed system if you work off commission.
Anyway, the cardiology called for a bill costing $925.97. We have THOUSANDS of dollars in bills and most places have offered us payment plans of only $30 a month. This cardio place wants $50 a month!! I don't think soooo. As long as I send them something they can't do anything. As long as I make a payment. Now we sent $25.97. It's not like we sent a dollar or something. But maybe some months we can pay more than that, just not this month. I told the lady on the phone that's all we could send and we will send more when we can. My husband's mother did the same thing with him. He was in the NICU when he was born for like 3 months and she didn't finish paying off his bills till he was 3 years old. I know they are trying to do their jobs but this lady was so rude. She gave a heavy, sarcastic sigh when I told her how much we sent and said "MA'AM that is NOT our minimum, our min is $50 a month and you need to send the other 25 to make it 50." Look lady, maybe you have 900 dollars just hanging around in your back pocket but we don't! So, there. Naner naner.
