It was AWESOME! We got to meet so many other families with babies or toddlers with down's syndrome and it TOTALLY put my mind at ease! They were all just normal little kids fighting over toys, picking each other's noses, and asking for juice and cookies. It was amazing. Everyone was so welcoming, it didn't matter how old we were or how young Giselle was. Actually there was a baby boy there only 3 weeks older than Giselle. We actually all talked about doing a pumpkin patch next month.
Nurse Mary was there too! She works at the hospital where Giselle was born and she was the one who told us about the DSAJ. Her son Ben is awesome! He's two and he is signing! We are teaching Giselle sign language too and it was so great to see another baby doing it. Maybe they will do it together and talk crap about us and we won't know what they are talking about lol. Little brats! lol!!!
Can't wait for the Buddy Walk on Oct 2nd. But for now, a picture of Giselle and "Aunt" Julie!!
